Privacy Policy

Horus Intellicare Solutions, Inc. (“Horus”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) offers our services using a set of solutions depending on your role and the stage you are in the process. This policy describes the collection, recollection, maintenance, security, share and use of your information using any of these applications that forms integral part of our service: public web portal, customer web portal, mobile application and medical devices.

Public Web Portal: This is our presence in the web to provide information about who we are and what type of services we provide.

Customer Web Portal:  As a registered customer, you have access to our services via a web console that provide access to patient’s data, alerts, notifications, interactions, educational material, analytic dashboards, detailed reports, billing data, etc.

Mobile Application: This application is used by the patient or personnel authorized by the patient and acts as a hub to capture vital and non-vital signs from the medical devices connected using BLE and as a communication center with the service provider.

Data We Collect

Horus captures different pieces of your information depending on the application you are using:

Public Web Portal: When visiting our public portal we collect two type of information:

  • Usage Information: this includes your IP Address and additional information part of the standard navigation data via Internet as browser, operating system, hardware and network information. We also collect the date-time, geo-location, URL that refers to our site, how long and pages visited.

  • Explicit Information: information provides explicitly by you when interaction with forms asking for specific information as our contact forms, etc.

Customer Web Portal: as part of the enrollment process for a registered customer, we collect information about your business including demographic information, billing information and contact information. All this data is part of our contractual forms. In addition, we collect information about the patients that will use our service based on explicit requests and consents of all parties, including personal and medical information, contact information of other Health Care Providers (HCP) associated with your patients and measure of vital and non-vital sign of your patients. Patients can be enrolled in our system after they sign the “Consent Agreement” that explicitly exposes them to all details about the service we provide.

Mobile Application: A patient registered by the customer must download and install on their personal device (tablet or smart phone) in order to be able to use our services. This application capture personal information (including email, names and demographic data) together with measures of vital and non-vital signs depending on the devices used, as blood pressure, weight, steps, sleep, glucose, etc. and geo-location of the devices if patient approve it as part of the installation of the application.

Medical Devices: The patients using our services, registered by the customer, will take regularly measures of vital and non-vital signs using the devices provider by the servicer. These devices will be connected to your personal device (tablets or smart phones) using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol and will be uploaded to our servers using encrypted communication via internet. Other devices could be using cellular network (IoT) operated by independent cellular phone service.

How do we use the information collected?

The use of your personal information varies depending on where or what application was used to collect the data.

Public Web Portal:

  • Usage Information: The data collected does not identify you and is used to improve our public appearance, effectiveness of marketing campaigns and general analytics of the traffic in our site.

  • Explicit Information: This data is used initially by our internal Customer Service Department and can be shared internally by different departments depending on the reason for the request. This data is kept internally and is not shared with any vendor or partner outside our institution except we got an explicit request and consent from you.

Customer Web Portal: This application is where the Health Care Provider (HCP) and/or Staff authorized by the HCP will use to provide the service to their patients. The data collected by this application is divided in two different roles:

  • Customer Data: Demographic and billing information about the customer. This data is used to provide and maintain the service based on our contractual obligations. This data is kept internally and is not shared with any vendor or partner outside our institution except we got an explicit request and consent from you.

  • Patient Data: Includes patient personal and contact information, some medical information and vital and non-vital measures. All this data is being used for the service we provide to generate alerts, create notifications, generate reports, stablish direct communication with patients, share educational materials, etc. and data could be shared with other patients’ Health Care Providers based on explicit consent of the patient. Some of the data collected could be used by Horus, partners or vendors for research and development, after de-identified, where all personal data and identifiers are completed removed. Horus doesn’t use any of the contact, medical and personal information beyond the service we provide except we got an explicit request and consent from the patient.

In addition of the internal use of this data in Horus, based on the service provider’s explicit request and consent, it could be shared with the provider Electronic Medical Records (EMR) application used in their office. Horus will have no liability with respect to any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of that data outside the scope of our service.

Mobile Application: The data capture by this application is being used for the service we provide to generate alerts, create notifications, generate reports, stablish direct communication with patients, share educational materials, etc. and data could be shared with other patients’ Health Care Providers based on explicit request and consent of the patient. Some of the data collected could be used by Horus, partners and/or vendors for research and development, after de-identified, where all personal data and identifiers are completed removed. Horus doesn’t use any of the contact, medical and personal information beyond the service we provide except we got an explicit request and consent from the patient.

Withdrawal of Consent or Opt-out:

If you do not agree with our private policies and the use of the personal and contact information, you may withdraw the consent of use, collect and disclosure of your personal data. To do so, please contact us at privacy@horusintellicaresolutions.com. In addition, in all our electronic communications we provides unsubscribe procedures and instructions for your removal from future communications.

Security of the Data:

Protecting your data is extremely important to Horus. Although we strive to use state-of-the-art technology and latest trends in encryptions and methodologies to protect the data, our service is based 100% on internet communications and electronic storage, and we can’t guarantee its absolute security.

Horus shall not be liable for any breach, unauthorized disclosure or unlawful use of your data that was, at the time of the breach, under the control of your service provider.

Privacy Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on our website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
